The Catholic Children’s Aid Foundation is led by an experienced and compassionate team and board committed to protecting children and strengthening families in the Toronto Catholic community.

Tony Cocuzzo
Chair
Tony has over 30 years of experience with Deloitte in providing both advisory and assurance services to a wide range of entities, focusing primarily on global asset managers and real estate entities, including reporting issuers registered with the Ontario Securities Commission and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as institutional investors. He serves as the Canadian sector leader for Asset Management and Real Estate, and is a member of Deloitte’s Global Executive for both sectors. Tony previously led the public company audit practice in Canada and IFRS and Securities Offering Services practice in Toronto. He currently serves as the Chair of the Catholic Children’s Aid Foundation and is a past president of the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto. He also serves as President of the Canadian-Italian Business and Professional Association.

Peter Brennan
Treasurer
Peter is the treasurer of the Catholic Children’s Aid Foundation and Chair of the Foundation’s Finance and Investment Committee. He was recruited to join the Catholic Children’s Aid Foundation Board of Directors in December 2021 with the intention of serving as Lead Director for all financial and investment matters. Peter brings over 30 years of investment management experience to the role. He currently serves as a Portfolio Manager with CIBC Wood Gundy, where he provides investment advice, financial planning and estate planning for individuals and families across Canada and the United States. His academic credentials include an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, a BA Economics from Western University, and professional designations such as Chartered Investment Manager and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. Peter is also a committed volunteer in his church and community, bringing both professional expertise and a strong sense of service to his work with the Foundation.

Tara Tinmouth
Secretary
Tara Tinmouth is a CPA, CA and the Director Portfolio Management and Delivery in Risk Management at the Royal Bank of Canada. In this role, she brings a strong foundation in accounting and tax, along with broad expertise in project and change management and operational risk. She began her career at KPMG LLP and has since held senior roles at several of Canada’s largest financial institutions, both domestically and internationally. Tara holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and is bilingual in English and French. Tara currently serves on the Boards of both Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto and the Catholic Children’s Aid Foundation. She is the Secretary of the Foundation and Chair of the Governance & Nominating Committee and Risk Ad Hoc Committee.

Mario J. Calla
Board Member
Mario J. Calla is a veteran leader in the social services and immigrant settlement sector, with over four decades of experience advancing equity, inclusion, and public policy. He began his career as a social worker and later a manager at the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto.
He went on to serve as Executive Director of COSTI Immigrant Services for 35 years, leading a $90 million organization with a staff of 500 across the Greater Toronto Area. He now serves as Special Advisor to COSTI’s Board, supporting strategic initiatives and organizational development.
Mario has held leadership roles on numerous boards and advisory committees, including TRIEC, OCASI, and the Social Planning Council of Toronto, where he has helped shape provincial and federal policies on immigration, employment, and mental health. He is a recipient of several national and international awards, including the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medals and Italy’s Order of Merit, recognizing his enduring commitment to community service and newcomer integration.

Kathleen O'Brien
Board Member
As Manager, Development Programs, Kathleen creates great career experiences for RBC’s Rotational Associates by supporting the planning and execution of projects and new initiatives within the Indigenous Peoples Development Program and the Leadership Development Program. Kathleen’s ability to develop strong partnerships, expertise in recruitment, and passion for advancing diversity and inclusion serve her well in this role.
Over her tenure at RBC, Kathleen has been responsible for the end-to-end recruitment of talent, partnering closely with business leaders to achieve strategic talent acquisition objectives. She has also been an advisor to support the re-deployment of employees by providing coaching and guidance to them. Kathleen founded and co-chaired RBC Working Moms for the HR Chapter hosting many successful events, including Parenting Through a Pandemic for employees across HR. Prior to joining RBC, Kathleen worked as a recruitment researcher and consultant at Bank of Montreal and Korn Ferry and held Marketing and Sales roles at IBM.
Kathleen has completed her Honors degree in Political Science from Western University and holds the Osgoode Certificate in Human Resources Law for HR Professionals from York University – Osgoode Hall Law School.

Geoffrey Grayhurst
Board Member
Geoff Grayhurst is CEO of Dorsay with over 25 years of real estate experience in the GTA. Dorsay is a GTA real estate development and investment company active in residential development and commercial acquisitions and acts as the global advisor for the real estate interests and investments of affiliates in Western Europe. He is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, the Urban Land Institute, the Urban Development Institute, Building Industry and Land Development, Lambda Alpha International, and is a Professional Land Economist. Geoff also sits on the board for R-labs and the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto and is a former board member for REALPAC. He sits on the Society’s Finance and Administration Committee and the Foundation’s lead director for Real Estate.

John Voutsinos
Board Member
John Voutsinos has 20 years of experience working with children professionally and through community involvement. Since 2006, he has worked at De La Salle College in various roles including as a teacher, a Guidance Counsellor, and the Director of Student Services. Currently, John is going into his 7th year as Vice Principal. John was recently invited to be a panelist at the 2019 College Board Education Summit to present his experiences on helping support the mental health of students. John is also a member of the Catholic Teachers Guild of Toronto and has completed Catholic Teacher formation sessions over the last 5 years. John joined the Catholic Children’s Aid Foundation Board in 2020 and is one of the lead directors of the Foundation’s Programs and Allocations. He is also a Director at the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto and sits on the Society’s Service and Quality Committee.

Teresa Palandra
Board Member
Teresa Palandra is a Senior Partner and the leader of Mercer Canada’s Wealth Business. She’s responsible for Mercer’s delivery of investment consulting, open architecture manager-of managers investment management, private wealth management, and retirement actuarial consulting services and solutions in Canada. She has held various prior leadership positions in the 16+ years she’s been with Mercer Canada. Before joining Mercer, she held the Senior Retirement Consultant and Actuary position at Watson Wyatt for 8 years. She graduated with High Distinction (summa cum laude) from the University of Toronto where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Teresa is a strong advocate for gender equality and racial diversity in the workplace, she’s presently the Executive Sponsor of the Women@Mercer chapter in Toronto and the Executive Sponsor of the Canadian Racial and Ethnic Diversity Group. She’s also a member of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee to the Board of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario.

Cameron Murphy
Board Member
Cam Murphy has almost 15 years of experience across Management Consulting and Private Equity. He is currently a Managing Director at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, and was previously an Associate Partner with Bain & Company. Cam’s skill set allows him to bring strategic thinking and planning to the CCAF team. Cam has an HBA from the Ivey Business School (Western) and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern). Cam lives in the city with his wife Alex and son Brooks.

Nicole Bonnie
Board Member
Nicole Bonnie is a nationally recognized leader in human services, with over 20 years of executive and frontline experience in child welfare, mental health, and equity-driven organizational change. She most recently served as CEO of the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies, where she led transformative sector-wide initiatives rooted in equity, reconciliation, and systemic reform. Nicole is the CEO of Firma Strategy Group, providing strategic advisory services to public sector and non-profit organizations, with a focus on equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism. A frequent keynote speaker and published researcher, she currently serves as Vice Chair and Ministry-Appointed Public Member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Nicole has received multiple awards for her leadership, including the international Women Worth Watching Award.
