Trinity Fund

Supporting the faith needs of Catholic children and youth in the care of the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto

What is the Trinity Fund?

The Trinity Fund covers costs related to the spiritual needs of Catholic children and youth in care with the
Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CCAS). This includes baptism-related expenses, confirmation, Catholic pilgrimages and pastoral care. Because these costs aren’t recognized by provincial funding, and most families involved with child welfare struggle to make ends meet, sacramental fees and supplies are covered by the Catholic Children’s Aid Foundation (CCAF).

How it helps:

CCAF Trinity Fund supports spiritual growth and faith needs

Catholic children, youth and parents who are struggling with complex challenges like income instability, unsafe housing or domestic violence require more than financial assistance, affordable housing and affordable mental health support—they also need faith and hope. CCAF believes that spirituality is an important part of child welfare.

“Many vulnerable Catholics would be at risk of going without the sacraments if it weren’t for the Society and the Trinity Fund,” says Jim Gilligan, Executive Director of the CCAF.

Your impact:

Your Christian charity transforms lives and souls

With the support of generous donors like you, the Trinity Fund:

  • Helped university student Amir* purchase a suit and dress shoes for his baptism.
  • Allowed Mia’s* parents to buy flowers and a dress for her confirmation.
  • Flew disadvantaged Catholic youth to Italy for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to visit the Vatican and see Pope Leo XIV.

Pope Leo’s message in St. Peter’s Square thrilled the young pilgrims, and will resonate with donors who want to make a difference for Catholic children, youth and families involved with CCAS. “The world needs messages of hope,” said the Pope. “You are that message, and you must continue bringing hope to everyone.”
